As a business owner, you likely use QuickBooks to manage and track your financial records. At Balanced Bookkeeping of NC, we want you to know that as of December 11, 2023, QuickBooks Online will adapt a new invoicing change that will affect how you use this software.

QuickBooks Is Updating its Invoicing Feature – Here’s What You Should Know

Once this change takes place, you will be able to manage invoices, estimates, and payments in one place, simplifying how you communicate and work with your customers. If you have already started to use this new invoicing feature, you likely noticed that you can switch back and forth between the old layout and the new layout. However, if you are an Essentials customer, you will no longer be able to do this once December 11 arrives.

With this new invoicing feature, you will automatically be shifted to this new format without any action on your end. Rest assured that all your data and your books will remain as they are, and you will still be able to view past estimates and invoices.

This new invoicing format will include updated features, such as the ability to receive alerts when a customer accepts and pays their invoice or estimates. You will also have more payment options, such as the addition of Venmo and PayPal. Additionally, the new layout will include features that will generally make invoicing a more streamlined, easy process.

As always, we’re here to help you successfully use QuickBooks, so if you need help adjusting to this new invoicing layout, we’re just a phone call away. Contact us today to learn more about this upcoming update and for more information about how it works.
